The posts are spread across the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways; Ministry of Law and Justice; Ministry of Science and Technology; and the Administration of UT of Ladakh.

Educational Qualification

Qualifications differ by post. They include Civil Engineering, Electronics/Telecommunication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Law, Geography/Geology/Geoinformatics/GIS-related master's degrees, Horticulture, Agriculture, Soil Science and Agricultural Engineering. Some posts also require relevant work experience.

Age Limit

The maximum age varies by post/category, generally 30–40 years depending on the vacancy and reservation category. PwBD and other eligible categories receive relaxation according to applicable rules.

Selection Process

Recruitment is by selection. UPSC may shortlist applicants and may conduct a Recruitment Test where required, followed by the prescribed selection/interview process. Candidates called for interview must produce their application printout and supporting documents.
