1. Computer Science / IT – 3 JRF Posts

Essential Qualification:

M.E./M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering / Computer Engineering / Computer Science / Information Technology or allied subjects with First Division at both Graduate and Postgraduate levels

OR

B.E./B.Tech in First Division with NET/GATE in Computer Science & Engineering / Computer Engineering / Computer Science / Information Technology or allied subjects.

Desirable Skills:

AI & Machine Learning algorithms
Big Data Analysis
Image Processing
Python, C, C++ or Java
Virtual Reality scenario development
Experience with Unity or Unreal game engines

2. Structural/Civil Engineering – 1 JRF Post

Essential Qualification:

M.E./M.Tech in Structural Engineering with First Division at both Graduate and Postgraduate levels

OR

B.E./B.Tech in First Division with NET/GATE in Civil Engineering, with specialization in Structural Engineering.

Desirable Skills:

AutoCAD
STAAD Pro / ETAB
ANSYS / ABAQUS
Structural drawing and drafting
Structural analysis and design

3. Geoinformatics / Remote Sensing – 2 JRF Posts

Essential Qualification:

M.E./M.Tech in Geoinformatics / Remote Sensing & GIS / Geomatics / Geospatial Engineering with First Division at both Graduate and Postgraduate levels

OR

B.E./B.Tech in First Division with NET/GATE in relevant fields such as Geoinformatics / Remote Sensing & GIS / Geomatics / Earth Science / Environmental Science

OR

Postgraduate Science degree in First Division at Graduate and Postgraduate levels with NET/GATE in the prescribed relevant field. The candidate must have a Bachelor of Science degree.

Desirable Skills:

Remote Sensing and GIS software
Computer programming
AI/ML-based analysis
SAR data processing and analysis

4. Atmospheric Science / Meteorology – 2 JRF Posts

Essential Qualification:

M.E./M.Tech in Atmospheric Science / Meteorology / Environmental Engineering with First Division at Graduate and Postgraduate levels

OR

B.E./B.Tech in First Division with NET/GATE in Atmospheric Science / Meteorology / Environmental Engineering

OR

Postgraduate Science degree in First Division at Graduate and Postgraduate levels with NET/GATE in Atmospheric Science / Meteorology / Environmental Science. Candidate must have a Bachelor of Science degree.

Desirable Skills:

Exposure to numerical weather prediction models
Working knowledge of statistical analysis tools

Stipend

Junior Research Fellow: ₹37,000 per month + HRA

HRA will be provided according to applicable rules.

Age Limit

Maximum Age: 28 years

Age is calculated as on 30 June 2026.

SC/ST: 5 years relaxation
OBC: 3 years relaxation

Age relaxation is applicable according to Government rules.

Fellowship Duration

Initial Tenure: 2 Years

The fellowship may be terminated during the tenure with one month's prior notice according to the conditions in the advertisement.

Selection Process

Selection: Walk-in Interview

Candidates must report at 8:30 AM on the applicable interview date.

Screening & Document Verification: 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM

Interview: From 11:00 AM onwards

Selection through the walk-in interview will be provisional and subject to verification of original documents and certificates.

16 September 2026: Geoinformatics/Remote Sensing and Atmospheric Science/Meteorology posts.
