Important Eligibility Condition

Only Final-Year Students are eligible to apply.

Internship Duration

Duration: 6 Months

The internship is scheduled to start from December 2026 / January 2027.

Stipend

Monthly Stipend: ₹5,000

The stipend is fixed and will be paid through electronic transfer.

For a six-month internship, the total stipend is ₹30,000, paid in two equal instalments:

₹15,000 after completion of 3 months

₹15,000 after completion of 6 months

A minimum of 15 days' attendance in a month is required for regularity to be counted.

Eligible candidates will be shortlisted/screened and selected through the prescribed interview-based process.

SSPL works in advanced semiconductor materials and devices, including compound semiconductors, MEMS, MMICs, acoustic sensor systems, laser diodes, infrared sensors and nanotechnology.

Important Conditions

The internship will be provided only in fields relevant to DRDO research.

Candidates must apply through their respective institutes.

Interns will be given access only to non-classified areas of the DRDO laboratory.

Interns must comply with the Indian Official Secrets Act, 1923, as well as DRDO and laboratory rules.

Interns cannot disclose or publish restricted/confidential DRDO information on newspapers, periodicals, social media or other platforms.

Working hours will be according to SSPL laboratory timings.

No leave is permitted except sick leave supported by a valid prescription. Applicable gazetted/closed holidays of the laboratory will apply to interns.

Employment After Internship

Completion of this internship does not guarantee employment in DRDO.
