The overall category distribution is SC – 358, ST – 240, OBC – 600, EWS – 303 and General – 981.
Candidates must possess a Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized University/Institution.
The qualification must be from an institution recognized by the Government of India, Government bodies or AICTE, as applicable.
The bank lists the following certifications as preferred, but they are not mandatory:
IC-38 from Insurance Institute of India
NISM Series V-A – Mutual Fund Distributors Certification
NISM Series XXI-A – Portfolio Management Services Distributors Certification
NISM Series XIII – Common Derivatives Certification
Candidates must have at least 1 year of post-qualification experience as an Officer in a Scheduled Commercial Bank listed in the Second Schedule of the Reserve Bank of India.
Experience in a clerical cadre will not be considered for eligibility.
Age is calculated as on 1 August 2026.

Candidates shortlisted after the online examination must clear a Local Language Proficiency Test (LPT). Candidates who studied the prescribed local language as a subject in Class 10 or Class 12 can be exempted from the LPT by producing the required marksheet/certificate.
General/EWS/OBC: ₹850 + payment gateway charges
SC/ST/PwBD/ESM/DESM/Women: ₹175 + payment gateway charges

Basic Pay Scale: Starts at ₹48,480 and can progress up to ₹85,920 under the applicable scale.
Selected candidates with at least one year of qualifying experience as an Officer in a Scheduled Commercial Bank will receive one advance increment.
Other allowances, benefits and perquisites are provided according to Bank of Baroda policies and applicable banking-sector settlements.
The selection process may include:

The English Language section is qualifying in nature, and its marks will not be counted for the final merit list.
There is a penalty for incorrect answers.
Wrong Answer: 0.25 mark deducted for each incorrect response.
Unanswered Question: No penalty.
Interview / GD Qualifying Marks
General Category: Minimum 60%
Reserved Categories: Minimum 55%
The bank reserves the right to change the qualifying criteria.
Candidates apply State-wise.
Selected candidates will generally remain posted within the State for which they applied for the first 12 years of service or until promotion to SMGS-IV, whichever is earlier.
After that, they may be posted anywhere in India according to the Bank's requirements.
Selected candidates will undergo 12 months (1 year) of probation from the date of joining.
Service Bond
Selected candidates are required to execute a service bond.
Minimum Service: 3 years
Candidates leaving before completing three years may have to pay an amount equivalent to three months' gross salary, subject to a maximum of ₹2 lakh, under the bank's current policy.
