About ARDE

Armament Research & Development Establishment (ARDE) is a DRDO laboratory in Pune working on research, design and development of conventional armament systems, including small arms, artillery systems, rockets, munitions and warheads.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess the prescribed qualification in the relevant Engineering/Science discipline.

Depending on the JRF discipline, the qualification may include:

B.E./B.Tech with valid GATE qualification

or

M.E./M.Tech in the relevant Engineering/Technology discipline

or other relevant postgraduate qualifications with NET/GATE, where prescribed.

Candidates must meet the exact discipline-wise qualification given in Advertisement ARDE/JRF-RA/2026.

Age Limit

JRF: Maximum 28 Years

Age relaxation is applicable for eligible SC/ST/OBC candidates according to Government of India/DRDO rules.

Fellowship

Junior Research Fellow (JRF): ₹37,000 per month + HRA

HRA is admissible according to applicable DRDO fellowship rules.

Selection Process
