Under the programme, cattle dung, agricultural residue, municipal organic waste and other biodegradable materials will be converted into compressed biogas. India Crosses 300 GW of Non-Fossil-Fuel Power Capacity

Parliament Passes MSME Development (Amendment) Bill, 2026

India’s Retail Inflation Rises to 4.45% in July 2026
India’s Consumer Price Index-based retail inflation increased to 4.45% in July 2026. Food inflation reached 5.52%, mainly because of higher prices for vegetables and other food items. Core inflation, which excludes food and fuel, stood at approximately 3.9%.
The inflation rate remained within the Reserve Bank of India’s tolerance range of 2% to 6%, although it exceeded the central bank’s medium-term target of 4% for the second consecutive month.
